Parking

Parking Location: Main parking for events is behind Dana Auditorium. Other spaces are available in front of Dana Auditorium, along the athletic fields and at the Frank Family Science Center parking lot (located at the Arcadia Drive entrance to campus). Season Parking Gate: There is no season parking gate available. Parking is complimentary on the Guilford College campus and is subject to availability. Overflow parking is located across Guilford College Road at New Garden Friends Meeting and is also complimentary.

Rules

General Rules: Dana Auditorium Admission Policies: All persons and items entering Dana Auditorium are subject to inspection. For patron protection, the following items are prohibited from being brought into Dana: Alcoholic or other Beverages Artificial Noise Makers Audio or Video Recording equipment Cameras with lenses larger than 4” Bags or Backpacks (larger than 10”x 8”x 8”) Beach Balls Cans, Glass or Metal containers Coolers (unless containing medical supplies) Diaper Bags (unless accompanied by a baby) Fireworks or any Explosive Folding Chairs Food and Beverage Helium Balloons Illegal Drugs Knives of any size Laser Pointers Lighters Matches Pets (except service animals for the disabled) Promotional items with commercial identification Tape Recorders Weapons of any description (weapons carried with a permit are also prohibited) Signs, banners, flags or any other items that would either obstruct the view of a patron or serve as a dangerous projectile or security risk. Other items that, in the judgment of management, pose a safety risk or diminish the enjoyment of an event by other guests shall also be prohibited. When a prohibited item is discovered after a patron enters the facility, the item shall be confiscated and disposed of, the patron may be ejected from the facility, shall be denied re-entry and ticket price will not be refunded. Consent Inspections: Guests are subject to consent inspections upon entering Guilford College facilities. Consent inspections may involve metal detectors. Patrons refusing to follow entry policies will not be admitted. Dress Code: Shirts and shoes are required to be worn at all events at Dana Auditorium. Smoke-free facility: Dana Auditorium is a smoke-free facility

Child Rules: Minimum age for admittance if any: Parents should carefully consider whether a performance is appropriate for children before planning to attend. All events are open to the public and there are no general age restrictions. Only specific events will have an age limit which will be communicated in local advertising. Should a young child be unable to sit quietly through a quiet event, ushers will ask the parent or child to step into the concourse until they can be quieted. Minimum age at which paid tickets are mandatory: The general policy is if a child has had their first birthday, a ticket is required. The policy supersedes seating location meaning: a ticket is required regardless of whether the child sits in the seat purchased or the parents lap. Booster seats are not available.
