The Van Buren

Open since August of 2017 – The Van Buren is Phoenix’s newest 1,800 capacity concert venue – converted from a historic vintage auto-dealership located in the heart of Downtown Phoenix. We focus on bringing a wide array of nationally touring artists and community events To Phoenix. 

The Van Buren is proud to have hosted a wide variety of artists from Sting, Billie Eilish, Death Cab For Cutie, Dua Lipa, Logic, 5 Seconds of Summer, Why Don’t We, Bleachers, Phantogram, CHVRCHES, 6LACK, Kacey Musgraves, Vince Staples, Violent Femmes blackbear, Tyler Childers, Chase Rice, Brockhampton, and many more here in Phoenix. 

When a show includes reserved seating, please note the designated ADA seats available for purchase. For general admission events, please contact the Box Office to request ADA seating.

21+ Event: Club nights: Ages 20 and under not admitted.
Non-club nights: Ages 13-20 must be accompanied by parent/legal guardian. Ages 12 and under are not admitted.

18+ Event: Club nights: Ages 17 and under not admitted.
Non-club nights: Ages 13-17 must be accompanied by parent/legal guardian. Ages 12 and under not admitted.

16+ Event*: Ages 5-15 must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian. Children 4 and under not admitted.

13+ Event*: Ages 5-12 must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian. Children 4 and under not admitted.

All Ages Event*: Ages 5-12 must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian. Children 4 and under not admitted.

*NOTE: Children ages 5-12 are required bring and wear their own protective ear muffs. Exceptions made for family and children’s shows will specify age restrictions in event details.

The following list of items will not be permitted:

• Masks of any kind
• Spikes
• Hard plastic props
• Weapon props 

*The Van Buren reserves the right to deny entry of any costume or props that are deemed a hazard to the venue.

*BAG POLICY*
The following bag policy is in place: Bags up to 12” x 6” x 12” are allowed in the venue. All bags will be searched prior to entry. Bags that are not clear will be subject to additional search. NO BACKPACKS ALLOWED.

We do not accept artist submissions, but you can take a look at one of our sister venues, CRESCENT BALLROOM  or VALLEY BAR  if you are looking to book your band or a band you represent.

The box office at The Van Buren is open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12-4pm and 2 hours prior to doors on show days. If you’d like to purchase tickets, please visit us at the Events tab on our website.

Yes! Some fees apply, depending on the ticket price.

At this time, none of our shows require health checks for entry, but please note that requirements and venue protocols (such as masking, testing, and vaccination) are subject to change. Be sure to check the event page for your show and our social media pages closer to the show date.

For shows with age restrictions, a physical valid government ID must be presented for entry. Digital and paper IDs WILL NOT be accepted. For international IDs, we will accept government issued passports. Mexican consular ID cards will also be accepted. We also accept any US issued passport card or permanent resident card.

We are located at 401 W Van Buren St. Phoenix, AZ 85003. The Box Office is located on 4th Ave and the Main Entrance is on 5th Ave.

There is no on-site parking at The Van Buren, however we have partnered with ParkWhiz to offer easy and reliable options in the area. Click HERE to book parking. Additionally, there is limited metered street parking and nearby lots that offer paid parking. Paid parking fills up quickly, so we recommend using Light Rail, Rideshare, or other transportation when possible.

(Keep in mind, priority #1 is to HAVE FUN! Just please do it without the items listed below)

• BAG POLICY: Bags up to 12” x 6” x 12” are allowed in the venue (NO BACKPACKS). All bags will be searched prior to entry. Bags that are not clear will be subject to additional search.
• No guns, knives, weapons, pepper spray, projectiles of any kind, spikes of any kind, or any other item that could be used to inflict harm
• Replicas of any type of weapon are NOT permitted
• No drugs or drug paraphernalia, illegal substances of any kind
• No outside food or drinks
• No personal video cameras, Go-Pros, selfie sticks, drones, masks or laser pointers
• No professional audio, video, or audio recording equipment – (including detachable lenses, tripods, zooms or commercial use rigs) without a photo pass
• No unsealed liquids or gels of any kind
• No jewelry or clothing that could inflict harm, including spikes of any kind
• No stuffed animals or toys of any kind

No, there is no re-entry. But why would you want to leave? The show will be great!

Refunds are automatically issued when an event cancels. Refunds will be provided via the original point of purchase.

If tickets were purchased with cash at the Box Office, an in-person refund will be required. Please present your tickets or order confirmation number. 

Support acts are always subject to change, there are no refunds when support acts cancel.

Unless otherwise noted, events at The Van Buren are general admission, standing room only.

Tickets for events at The Van Buren are sold explicitly via Ticketmaster. Purchasing tickets from any third party reseller (StubHub, Vivid Seats, Seat Geek, Craigslist, etc.) is done at the sole risk of the buyer and is not recommended. We are unable to guarantee or verify validity of tickets purchased from a third party.

Tickets believed to be purchased for the purpose of resale may be canceled at the discretion of Ticketmaster or The Van Buren.

Any orders over the stated ticket limit on any event may be canceled at the discretion of TicketWeb, Ticketmaster, or The Van Buren.

Will call tickets are released on the day of show. Please see hours listed above. A government issued photo ID (of the original purchaser) is required to release will call tickets.
