IMPASTIAMO TO LAUNCH FEED THE MUSIC
A Culinary and Music Experience With Musicians In Support of Crew Nation
IMPASTIAMO, an online platform for virtual cooking classes, launches a new series in support of the live music industry, called Feed the Music. The band Young The Giant kicks off the program on Friday, December 11th at 4PM PT | 7 PM EST. Featured dish: a Brazilian Fish Moqueca, followed by a short live acoustic performance.
“This pandemic has hit a whole portion of an industry that really doesn't get the credit it deserves and that really needs help right now” says Francois Comtois, drummer from Young the Giant. “I’ve always loved cooking because, like music, it’s an art form. They are both able to bring people together in a very special way and I am excited to see how they can support one another.”
How does it work?
Cooking classes take place live on Zoom and people are encouraged to make a donation to participate. The ingredients list is shared ahead of time so that the fans can cook along with their favorite musicians. IMPASTIAMO also offers custom Ingredients kits available for purchase, delivered to guests’ homes.
Who does it benefit?
100% donations benefit Crew Nation, a global relief fund for the live music industry, launched by Live Nation Entertainment.
“The concert industry is very dear to my heart” says Silvia Carluccio, founder of IMPASTIAMO. “I am humble to be able to give back to the industry and the people who have helped shape my career and have made me who I am today.” Silvia worked for Live Nation Entertainment from 2011 to 2019, when she left the company to start her own creative and production agency. As Covid-19 impacted her work, she decided to launch IMPASTIAMO, an online cooking platform featuring chefs from all over the world. “The pandemic has been impactful for the music industry, hurting music venues and all behind the scenes workers that make concerts an incredible experience” she continues. Like food, music has the incredible power of bringing people together. It offers an opportunity to transcend past backgrounds, race, and cultures to offer genuine connection through the shared love of music.”
