311 ANNOUNCES THREE LIVE STREAM CONCERTS PERFORMING THEIR FIRST 3 CLASSIC ALBUMS
Live From The Band's Own "Hive Studio" In LA
2020 marks the 30th Anniversary of 311, an incredible milestone. Finding new ways to celebrate their 30th Anniversary year, 311 have taken this time off the road to create their new live streaming platform, 311 StreamSystem, which launched today at 311StreamSystem.com. 311 StreamSystem will debut with a “Live from the Hive” concert series. Live and direct, 311 will perform on November 11th for for three consecutive months, each show featuring one of their classic albums:
- November 11th - Music
- December 11th - Grassroots
- January 11th - 311
This will be the first time the band has done a multi-album chronological concert series: Music (1993), Grassroots (1994) and the self-titled blue album (1995). The shows will be an intimate affair, giving a global audience a previously unavailable view into 311’s studio “The Hive”. The performances will go on sale Wednesday, Oct 21 at 10AM PT / 1PM ET at 311StreamSystem.com.
Fans can buy shows individually or as a 3 show ticket bundle, or ticket plus merch bundles, including limited-edition event posters, with autograph versions also available. The live stream ticket will include a 60 minute pre-show hangout and a post-show open forum with the band after each performance - giving the event a tv-show like format.
In light of the challenges 2020 has presented for the touring giant, 311 decided to integrate a broadcast-quality setup into their home-base studio and turn their creativity to a live stream experience. Outfitting the studio with high-quality cameras, lights, sound and visual effects designed in partnership with Notan Creative, the live streams will provide a psychedelic, multi-camera experience in the place where all things 311 happen. The streams will feature new sound processing integrations and the band's “classic” analog Neve 9098i console which recorded several of 311’s albums. All of this making for an incredible visual and sonic experience.
StreamSystem eponymously named for the band’s 1999 album SoundSystem, will continue to be a platform into the future to debut new content and new 311 ideas as these road-warriors explore new avenues for their musical outlet while traditional touring isn’t possible. Without amphitheaters, theaters and clubs available to host shows, 311 also want to give support to production crews, which have also found themselves out of work during these difficult times. With that said, partial proceeds from the “Live from the Hive” concerts will go towards Crew Nation, a charitable fund created to help support the countless crew members affected by event and concert cancelations in 2020.
