Metallica Launch #MonthOfGiving Campaign With Support For Crew Nation

The band offers a hands-on approach with assistance to four partner relief initiatives.

Inspired by the global #GivingTuesdayNow campaign, which was a day of giving and unity on May 5, Metallica has launched their own #MonthOfGiving campaign through their All Within My Hands Foundation. The foundation, which started in 2017, was created to assist and enrich the lives of members of the community who have supported Metallica for years.

Every Tuesday throughout May, Metallica will spotlight different organizations they are supporting through their grants for COVID-19 relief. Last week, Metallica supported Crew Nation, Live Nation’s global relief fund designed to assist touring and venue crews who are out of work as live shows are put on hold. In support of the program, the band sat down and interviewed seventeen touring crew members from their WorldWired Tour, as well as introduced their “Month of Giving” products, of which sales will directly benefit Crew Nation.

Metallica: Month of Giving

For the first Tuesday of May, Metallica turned the spotlight on Feeding America, the hunger relief organization that partners with local food banks. In the following weeks, Metallica will shift their focus to the United States Bartenders Guild Foundation, which assists bartenders and other hospitality professionals, and Direct Relief, which supports medical professionals and first responders.

Each week, Metallica will share what the spotlighted organizations do and how fans can support their #MonthOfGiving campaign. The Crew Nation Fund was launched in April to help support touring and venue crews through this temporary intermission while COVID-19 puts concerts on pause. Live Nation has committed $10 million to Crew Nation, contributing an initial $5 million to the fund and then matching the next $5 million in donations, dollar for dollar. Artists from around the world have already supported this initiative with donations and activations from performers including John Mayer, U2, Metallica, Coldplay, Cher, Justin Timberlake, Aerosmith, Anderson.Paak, Twenty One Pilots, Backstreet Boys and more. If you want to help support crews, visit livenation.com/crewnation to donate or buy exclusive merch now.
